COMMITTEES

We encourage our congregation to get involved in our Church thru various committees. We hope you will volunteer your time.

ARCHIVES

Works to preserve the history of our church by collecting and maintaining photographs, articles, and other relevant documents.

BUILDINGS & GROUNDS

Ensures that the buildings, grounds, and equipment of TPC are maintained at all times and repaired or replaced when needed. The committee works with the pastor in supervising the use of the facilities.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Creates and administers programs for all ages which will help the members and friends of TPC: to develop their relationship to Jesus Christ, to grow in their understanding of the Christian faith, and to live as faithful disciples in the world.

CONCERNS

A source of help, sympathy, compassion and comfort within the church that takes on many of the traditional roles of the deacons.

CONGREGATIONAL LIFE

Responsible for promoting fellowship within the church by developing and coordinating events which help members and friends develop and maintain strong camaraderie. The events are designed to encourage members and friends of the church to participate actively in the life of the church. Events include:

Dutch Brunches
Game Nights

FINANCE

Oversees the finances of TPC, reviews the work of the church treasurer and the church financial secretary, and encourages a healthy stewardship by the members and friends of the TPC.

MEMORIAL FUND SUB-COMMITTEE

Encourages memorial giving in honor of deceased members, family, and friends. The sub-committee determines appropriate use for such gifts, oversees spending of memorial funds for such purposes, and recognizes the givers and honorees.

MEMORIAL GARDEN & COLUMBARIUM

A group formed in 2007 to plan, construct, develop policies, and operate a Memorial Garden at TPC. To see the history, policies, and an application form, click here.

OUTREACH MINISTRY

Promotes both the local and worldwide mission of TPC by proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ; inviting people into a lifetime of Christian discipleship and nurture; sharing from the abundance of material wealth which God has given to us; caring for those in our world who have emotional, physical and spiritual needs; and bringing people into the fellowship and ministry of the church. >Outreach Ministry

NOMINATING

Responsible for finding replacements for those session members who are about to finish their call as Elder.

PERSONNEL

Provides support for effective working relationships between the pastor, church staff, session, committees, and the congregation as a whole.

WORSHIP

Responsible for all aspects of worship at TPC so that the members and friends of the church are able to worship God, to hear God’s Word proclaimed, to life up to God the concerns of our lives, and to offer our lives to the service and glory of God.

SESSION

The body of elected elders governing each local church within Presbyterian polity.
